Softly and tenderly Jesus calls His children home, and on Aug. 30, 2019, He called His precious child, Cheryl L. Majors, 60, of Monessen, home from her labor to her rest. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Majors and Thelma Smith. Cheryl (Kay Kay) was a Monessen Greyhounds fan, an avid Steelers fan and most of all she loved to hear the chatter of her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Jermaine (Donna) Majors, Sheena Majors, Sommer (James) Majors, Sharae Majors, Curtis Majors, Latoya Stitch, Latosha Stitch, Chanta (Joe) Stitch, Michael Stitch, Timothy Stitch Jr., Tiffany Stitch and Brandon Stitch; 33 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Percy Majors and Ronald (Cheryl) Smith; sisters, Cora Lawson, Hilda Majors, Ida Ellis, Alice Majors, Martha Jackson and a host of other relatives. Viewing will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, with an 11 a.m. service Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, all at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, with eulogist the Rev. Recardo Hall. Interment at Belle Vernon Cemetery. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
