Stan Gordon has been investigating Bigfoot and UFO sightings ever since getting a transistor radio from his parents when he was 10 years old and hearing about unexplained phenomena.

“I was 16 years old when the incident occurred in Kecksburg. I’ve been out in the field ever since investigating incidents around Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania,” Gordon said. “This will be 60 years of research for me, and in all of the years I’ve never seen bigfoot or a UFO myself.”

Gordon will be speaking about Bigfoot, UFO and cryptid sightings and investigations at 7 p.m. Friday at the Grand Theatre in Elizabeth. Cryptids, Gordon said, are creatures not confirmed by science or creatures spotted in areas where they have no reason to be, such as a black panther in southwestern Pennsylvania.

“It seems like there’s a lot of activity going on,” said Ken Kolodziej, owner of the Grande Theatre. “I’m hoping to learn something.”
