Howard ‘Bill’ William Miller – Charleroi
Howard “Bill” William Miller, 77, of Charleroi, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian. He was born March 23, 1942, in Greensburg, son of the late Howard Richard and Lyda Silvis Miller. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. He was retired from Braun Baking Company where he was a fleet mechanic. Bill had also worked for 10 years as a bartender at the Charleroi Elks Club and at Murphy’s Pub at the Ice Gardens in Rostraver. He was a member of the Orchard Christian Fellowship, McDonald’s Coffee Club aka Permanent Loafers. Bill was a classic car enthusiast and always followed the Mon Valley Cruisers. He was a hard worker, devoted husband and father. Bill enjoyed traveling with his family, coffee with friends and telling a good story. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Bill was married for 51 years to Gloria Rubachko Miller and together they raised their three children in Charleroi. Besides his wife, Bill is survived by a son, Scott (Gretchen) Miller of New Cumberland, W.Va.; two daughters, Cindy (Patsy) Morrow of Waynesburg and Jaimie Miller (David Vincent) of Romney, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Anthony, Vincent and Elizabeth Morrow and Lucas and Eva Miller; and a sister, Marjorie Rosensteel of Allison Park. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, with Pastor John Custer presiding.
