Sally Phillips has been around Ringgold High School a long time. She taught there for 40 years and has served the last 12 as the school’s girls tennis coach.
However, in all of her time at Ringgold, Phillips has something now that never existed before.
A junior-varsity squad.
For the first time in school history, Ringgold has so many girls tennis players that a JV squad was needed.
“We have 23 girls in the program and out of that group, I would say about 14 or 15 participate with the JV squad,” said Phillips.
“My assistant, Zac Smith, is running the JV team and is doing an awesome job.”
