Dennis A. DiPiazza – Monessen

Dennis A. DiPiazza, 72, of Monessen, passed away with his family at his side on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, in Jefferson Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1947, in North Charleroi, the son of Theresa Ezzo DiPiazza of Monessen, and the late Salvatore “Sam” DiPiazza. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a 1965 graduate of Monessen High School. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and had served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was an avid golfer, an excellent craftsman and enjoyed vacationing with family in Myrtle Beach. He was a retired bricklayer, having worked for U.S. Steel at its Irvin Works. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debra (Barton) DiPiazza; two sons, Dennis (Jacqueline) DiPiazza of Upper St. Clair, Bryan (Kelly) DiPiazza of Rostraver Township; sister, Nancy Sawyer of Whitehall; brother, Jeffery (Tamara) DiPiazza of Rostraver Township; four grandchildren, Alessandra and Anthony DiPiazza, Elena and Emma DiPiazza; and by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held on Saturday beginning with a 9 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen, with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
