In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Rabatin; and his dogs, “Ziggy” and “Puck”. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Susan Vargo Rabatin; children, Michele Vannucci of Fayette City, Lisa Waid and her husband Gerald of Monessen, Erin Kress and her husband Jason of North Charleroi, Brandy Stringhill and her husband Frank of Monessen; and grandchildren, Alyx and Logan Vannucci, Mina and Evan Waid, Jayden and Rylan Kress, Skylar and Lily Stringhill. Gary was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a military policeman for the U.S. Army and is a retired employee of U.S. Steel.
