Esther Hanna – West Newton

Esther Hanna, 90, of West Newton died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019. Born in Rostraver Township on July 6, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Alfred R. and Ellen R. (Wilt) Creevey. Esther loved being with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Glenn P. Sr.) DeFillippo of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Glenn (Rayni) DeFillippo Jr. of Penn Township, Jamie (Ed) Miller of Irwin, and Dena (Bryan) Kelly of Naples, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Cole and Gabrielle DeFillippo, Elin and Madelyn Miller and Patrick Kelly; and sisters, Ruth Corcoran of Webster, and Judy Bachetti of Las Vegas, Nev. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Hanna; brothers, Alfred and Terry Creevey; and sister, Dorothy Gladys. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Walter Pietschmann officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
