George William ‘Lenny’ Lenhart – Kittanning, formerly of Finleyville

George William “Lenny” Lenhart, 70, of Kittanning, formerly of Finleyville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at the VA Community Living Center, Butler.  He was born in McKeesport on March 27, 1949, a son of the late George and Bessie Randolph Lenhart. George was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 137 in Kittanning. George, a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed sitting in his recliner watching his favorite football team with his 16 oz. Budweiser and his Grizzly Long Cut wintergreen chew. He loved watching his movies from the oldies to the new ones. He is survived by three sons, Kenneth Lenhart of Hillsboro, W.Va., Christopher (Rachel) Lenhart of Monongahela, Ian Lenhart of Kittaning; daughter, Laura (Chris)Bennett of Charleroi; seven grandchildren,  Elijah, Kiona, Alyssa and Devylin Lenhart, Caitlin, Madison and Veronica Bennett; three sisters, Sharon (James) Anders of Brookfield, Ohio, Janice (Thomas) Culhane of Clairton, Cindy Lenhart of Monongahela; brother, Ronald Lenhart of Finleyville; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, in the FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, PA 15063. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, where full military honors will be accorded.
