EF volleyball hopes to replicate storybook season

Elizabeth Forward was the Cinderella story of the 2018 WPIAL girls volleyball season.
The Warriors advanced to the WPIAL playoffs as the No. 10 seed with a 10-4 record out of Section 3-3A before earning upset wins over No. 7 South Fayette and No. 2 Armstrong in the first round and quarterfinals, respectively.
EF, which finished the year at 13-7 overall, was ousted from the postseason with a loss at the hands of third-seeded Thomas Jefferson and was dropped from the PIAA playoffs with a first-round loss to Knoch.
However, in doing what many thought was improbable, the Warriors proved that they belong.
