Woman killed in train accident is identified

The Washington County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who was struck and killed by a train Tuesday night in Charleroi.

The Washington County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Lisa M. Lees, 49, of Charleroi.

The coroner’s office said Lees was attempting to walk across the railroad tracks when she was struck by a Norfolk-Southern train traveling northbound near Seventh Street and Railroad Way. 

Police, fire and EMS officials were called to the area around 10 p.m.
