The Mon Valley Sewage Authority will consider treating effluent from the Westmoreland Sanitary Landfill — if the authority’s engineer recommends it.
Representatives of the Rostraver Township landfill attended a sewage authority meeting last week to go over the proposal.
Authority Solicitor Aaron Bialon said Thursday that representatives presented the sewage authority board with information regarding the project, which has been turned over to an engineer to review.
Bialon said it’s unclear how long it will take to review the plan or when the sewage authority is expected to take action on the matter.
