McKeesport City Administrator Tom Maglicco, joined by Mayor’s Assistant Jennifer Vertullo and Finance Director Tasha Phelps, appeared before the Allegheny Regional Asset District board this week to request funding for Renziehausen Park for 2020.

RAD, which is celebrating its 25th year, supports and finances regional assets in the categories of libraries, parks and recreation, cultural, sports and civic facilities and programs.

RAD receives half of the proceeds from the 1% Allegheny County sales and use tax, while the other half is paid directly to the county and municipal governments by the state treasurer.

Maglicco requested $223,500 worth of capital funds from RAD’s 2020 preliminary budget, which is expected to be approved Sept 26.
