Hearing today will decide EF bus situation

Students in the Elizabeth Forward School District will await a hearing in Common Pleas Court this afternoon that will determine if they will return to school Thursday.
District officials were notified Aug. 2 by PA Coach Lines that the company will not transport its students. Superintendent Todd Keruskin and administrators were left wondering how nearly 2,500 students will get to and from school.
Keruskin announced Monday that a hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today in the Court of Common Pleas in Allegheny County.
“It is our hope that this hearing will bring a resolution to this unfortunate issue affecting the Elizabeth Forward School District,” he said. “We have not yet determined whether it will be necessary to delay the scheduled start of school.
