Elizabeth Forward may not have bus service

PA Coach Lines is in breach of contract, Elizabeth Forward officials contend, and student transportation plans are now in doubt for the start of school Thursday.

According to district officials, PA Coach Lines notified EF Aug. 2 that the company will not honor its contract with the school district and will not transport its students.

The school district filed a lawsuit Thursday in Allegheny County Court against PA Coach to enforce its contract.

The contract was approved by EF school board members Oct. 17, and district officials say the bus company will not provide an explanation for why it refuses to honor its deal.
