Forward Township hears code complaints

A little more than two months into his role as code enforcement officer, Forward Township police Chief Travis Stoffer is being commended by supervisors for a job well done — but not without some flak from residents.
Supervisors Thomas DeRosa, Dave Magiske and Ron Skrinjorich unanimously voted to name Stoffer as the township code enforcement/ordinance officer during June’s meeting.
Since then, Stoffer has written more violations than the former code officer issued in years, Magiske said.
However, some residents are upset at the conditions of properties that neighbor their homes and want the problems taken care of.
