A 50-year-old Charleroi man who was allegedly found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle Friday is being held in Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bond.
State Tpr. Charles Hassenfeldt said he found Michael Sullivan of Lover Jonestown Road passed out behind the wheel of a van that was stopped in the middle of Route 917 in Cokeburg, blocking traffic.
Hassenfeldt wrote in the affidavit of probable cause that Sullivan was asleep in the driver’s seat of a Dodge Grand Caravan that was running and still in drive, though the headlights were off.
Hassenfeldt also stated that he had difficulty waking Sullivan up, knocking on the window repeatedly until Sullivan woke up.
