Donora father charged with aggravated assault

A Donora man is accused of aggravated assault of his child after “violently” spanking his daughter last month.
Cedric Sutton, 31, of Fifth Street, is charged with aggravated assault of a victim less than 13 years old, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault of a victim under 12 years old and recklessly endangering another person.
Donora police said they received a report of child abuse from Washington County Children and Youth Services on July 30, indicating that a 7-year-old girl had been assaulted by her father, later identified as Sutton.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Sutton allegedly “violently” spanked the child after she had a bathroom accident.
