By obits

Arthur Paul Loera, 78, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, in his home. He was born March 2, 1941, in Clairton, the son of Patricio and Edith Kaczynski Loera. Art retired after 60 years as a baker from Shop ‘n Save in Bethel Park and Supervalu. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved to shoot pool. He was a member of St. Sebastian Church in Belle Vernon. Art also belonged to the Belle Vernon Moose Lodge No. 209, the Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659, the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania Sons and Daughters of Italy No. 730 in Perryopolis and the Golden Agers Travel Club in Charleroi. He is survived by his wife,  Joanne Cardinale Loera, whom he married on Jan. 19, 2001, at the Antique Wedding House in Mesa, Ariz.; son, Jody Loera of Chandler, Ariz.; two stepsons, Michael Semancik of Belle Vernon, Mac Molek and significant other Jennifer Messare of Monongahela; three grandchildren, Ryan Loera, Michael Semancik Jr., Logan Molek; and a cousin, Aldolpho “Sonny” Esquieviel, who was like a brother to him. Art requested no visitations. He felt that the time to get together was for the living to enjoy each other’s company. You didn’t have to invite him to a birthday celebration, a wedding, holiday get togethers, or come to his New Year,s day dinner that he took pride in cooking pork roast, mashed potatoes and all the fixins; or you could have stated you were just too busy to visit anymore. He enjoyed remembering the good old days of growing up and having fun with family and friends. Entombment was private and in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC. was in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
