Whitlock building chemistry at BVA

Devin Whitlock will officially don the green and gold as a sophomore in 2019-20.
That was made official July 15 when, in a 6-4 vote by a special hearing panel of the WPIAL Board of Directors, Whitlock was ruled eligible to play sports at Belle Vernon Area.
A standout in football and basketball at Monessen this past year, Whitlock transferred to BVA near the middle of May before the end of his freshman year.
With his eligibility hearing in the past, Whitlock turns his attention to the upcoming season.
“I’m very excited to get started playing with my new teammates,” Whitlock said. “I feel like it’s going to be a very successful year. We have a lot of good athletes and I’m just happy everything went smooth.”
