For the third consecutive season, the California University football team is a preseason selection to finish second in the PSAC West standings.
The Vulcans were chosen as preseason runnerups to the early favorites from Slippery Rock as the league announced its preseason poll during PSAC Media Day at Lock Haven on Monday.
Head coach Gary Dunn, who is entering his fourth season at the helm of the Vulcans, doesn’t put too much stock into the preseason rankings.
“We are happy that the other coaches in the league think highly enough of us to rank us second,” Dunn said, “but after (Monday), the preseason rankings really don’t matter.”
