Dax Thomas State Farm head coach Tom Rodriguez wasn’t necessarily pleased with his team’s offensive output in the first half of Monday’s J. Budd Grebb Memorial Summer Basketball League girls semifinal matchup against Cedarbrook.
State Farm was limited to 10 points in the opening quarter before adding seven in the second.
Despite the early woes, State Farm used a better second half shooting performance along with a stingy defensive effort to topple Cedarbrook, 46-17, and clinch a spot in Wednesday’s championship game.
State Farm (8-3) matched its first half point total in the third quarter alone and didn’t allow Cedarbrook (6-5) to score more than six points in any quarter.
