Official unveiling Aug. 18 for Thomas Jefferson High School

West Jefferson Hills School District will officially open the doors of the new Thomas Jefferson High School Aug. 18 with a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony.

The event for elected officials, invited guests and the media will begin at noon, followed by tours of the new building. The community, friends and alumni open house will run from 3 to 8 p.m.

The new high school is located at 830 Old Clairton Road in Jefferson Hills.

The new 300,000-square-foot high school comprises three main components that include an arts wing, academic wing and athletic wing with the main entry architecture modeled after Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello.
