Tats and Bats softball game will aid two local charities

Two long-time friends will meet on the softball diamond tonight to benefit charity.

Members of Club Serenity, a nonprofit recovery group in Charleroi, and local tattoo artists will bring their A-game under the lights at Charleroi Trustees Park for the inaugural Tats and Bats Charity Softball Game.

Club Serenity’s team is being led by Charlie Sabolek, a long-time ballplayer who has been clean for more than a year and is passionate about helping those battling addiction.

His friend, Mike Karlowsky is a tattoo artists at Abstract Tattoo in Charleroi and was all in when the duo proposed a friendly game for the benefit of two charities.
