Lenora A. Bowman Moore Brownlee, 92, of Donora, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2019. She was born in New Kensington, on March 12, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Robert Ellis Bowman and Lula Katherine Pryor Bowman. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, James E. Brownlee and Johnny Moore; four children; John Lester Moore, Catherine Elaine, Marlene Annette and James Cecil Brownlee; also, one sister, Mary Francis Moore. Lenora worked in McKeesport for Max Gold as a seamstress, Monifore Hospital in Pittsburgh, as an Aide and at Cleveland Partition in Donora. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in McKeesport and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Donora, where she served on the Missionary Board, Choir and Kitchen Committee. You could always find Lenora visiting the sick and she loved to travel to Pittsburgh by bus and to different states. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Carl E. Moore and Shelia of  Suitland, Md., Charles E. Brownlee and fiancée Michele Smith of Cleveland, Ohio., Robert A. and wife Angela Brownlee of Matthews, N.C.; two daughters, the Rev. Beverly L. and husband Charles Wilkerson of Monongahela, Tina Y. and husband Bryan Lawson of Donora; and one adopted daughter, Cynthia A. Louis of Donora; two sisters, Dorothy Lyle of New Kensington and Pastor Dorothy Reeves of Wilmerding; and dearest aunt, Almeda Pryor of Donora; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends; two goddaughters, Donna Lynn Majors of Ohio, and Lenora Strover of Ohio; and devoted best friends, Mr. and Mrs. Dr. James L. Brooks of Belle Vernon. Special thanks to all of her care givers, especially Jasmine Gallmore. Lenora will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She had a heart of gold. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, 541 Allen Avenue, Donora, where funeral service will begin at noon. Quallan T. Hawkins is the pastor of First Baptist Church. Eulogy will be given by the Rev. Earlene Colman, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church, McKeesport. Service will be followed by interment in the West Newton Cemetery. Final celebrations entrusted to MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela PA 15063, 724-258-6767.
