Five Belle Vernon Area teachers received permanent professional contracts at Monday’s school board meeting.

Lorie Fowler, Alessandra Perri, Angela Musto, Jason Scott and Heather Tustin were recognized by the board of directors.  Such contracts are issued in BVA after the completion of three successful years of teaching.

Superintendent Dr. Michele Dowell said Fowler, a third-grade teacher at Marion Elementary, does a great job.

“I know this first hand from my experience working with her directly,” Dowell said. “Congratulations.”

Scott, who has served in many capacities in the district including most recently as a kindergarten teacher, will begin teaching fourth-grade math this fall.
