James W. Stockett _ Bruceton Mills, W.Va., formerly of Rostraver
James W. Stockett, 72, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., formerly of Rostraver, died peacefully at his home on July 4, 2019. He was the loving husband of Catherine Dianne Stockett, his wife of 53 years, who he is survived by and resides in Bruceton Mills, W.Va. He was a devoted father to his three children: Noel Roebuck (Danny) of West Newton, Jami Moody (Wes) of Fayette City, and Kimberly Cupplo (David) of Bruceton Mills, W.Va. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Louis Yancich II, Adaline Roebuck, Jillian Moody, Eli Cupplo, Nancy Roebuck; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Roebuck. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Dupont Barrett (Don) of Bath, Maine; and two brothers, Dave Stockett (Joyce) of Coulter, and Ed Stockett (Debbie) of Dravosburg, all whom he loved very much. He has several loved nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many cherished friends both here and in Ft. Pierce, Fla., where he also resided. He was a proud veteran and served in the Vietnam War and was discharged home in 1968 with honors. He served as a deacon in Park Baptist Church for numerous years and led a life of tremendous faith in God and instilled this value in his family. He was a longtime member of the Masonic lodge in Mckeesport for 36 years. He worked for Caruso and Sons Asphalt and Paving for over 26 years, where he was a well-liked and respected foreman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Stockett and Dorothy Thompson Stockett of Mckeesport. He was also preceded in death by three grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth, DJ and Hope Suzanne Cupplo. Please join us by honoring his life with a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019, in the Park Baptist Church 749 Center St., Mckeesport, PA 15132.
