Alan A. Beregi, 75, of Monessen, died Saturday, July 20, 2019, in his home. Born in North Charleroi on Dec. 3, 1943, he was the son of the late Sandor and Ann Prokop Beregi. He retired from the Allenport Plant of the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co. Alan was Russian Orthodox by faith. Besides his parents, he was proceeded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Carol Jo “Queenie” Guerra Beregi. He was also proceeded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Mary and Louis Guerra. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Sandor “Shunny” and Lindsay Beregi of Monessen; two sisters-in-law, Mary Louise and Thomas Persico and Cynthia and Kevin Coccari, all of  Monessen; special cousins, Father Dennis Vitali, Nadine Drdul and Gino and Terry Bachetti; nieces, nephews and additional cousins; and his special canine buddy, Rudy. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Father Dennis Vitali officiating. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
