Yvonne M. Young – North Charleroi

On Thursday, July 18, 2019, Yvonne Young, 87, a loyal and faithful Christian, was called home to the Lord following a courageous battle with cancer. She was resting peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Yvonne was the most loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother “GiGi”. She devoted much of her time babysitting and worked as a school guard for many years. Yvonne was born on May 10, 1932, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ray Teulle. Yvonne was a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Church, located in Coal Center. She is survived by her three children: son, Terry Lee (Monica) Young of Charleroi, daughters, Cheryl Marie Matyas and fiancé Dave Weaver of Fallowfield Township and Pamela Lynne (Bill “Swacker”) Marsich of Charleroi; seven grandchildren, Jenna (Manny) Diaz, Michael Matyas and fiancé Alicia Dible, Ryan Marsich and Alyssa, Dr. Michelle (Dan) Harvison, Kimberly (Seth) Vargo, Adam (Lyndsey) Young, Chad (Jessica) Young; seven great-grandchildren, Isaac and Elijah Young, Caroline and Charlotte Harvison, Presley Vargo, Olivia Diaz and a baby Young on its way; brother-in-law, Jack Young of Shepherdstown W.Va.; and her special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Bob L. Young; and two brothers, Charles and Fernand Teulle. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, which will be announced at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC.
