Donald G. “Bo” Sento, 81 of Monongahela, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in North Charleroi on July 8, 1938, Bo was a son of the late Andrew and Gladys Simpson Sento of Donora. Bo was a 1957 graduate of Donora High School where he excelled in football and basketball. He continued his love for sports by playing City League Basketball in Monessen and softball for Olivieri’s in Donora into his late thirties. He had a passion for the Pittsburgh professional teams as well as Pitt and WVU. He was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Church in Monongahela. For 20 years, Bo worked security for U.S. Steel Edgar Thomson Works in Braddock. In 1986, Bo became the first security officer at Ringgold High School where He developed and implemented the first security policies and programs for the entire district. He retired in 2002 as supervisor of safety and security for the Ringgold School District. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Mucci Sento, in 1990; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nello and Leona Trona Mucci. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Marcase Sento; three children, Brian (Tracy) Sento of Charlotte, N.C., Dean Sento of Monongahela, and Kristie (Lori) Sento of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Cody (Randi), Jordyn, Kaci, Justin, Andrew, Ryleigh, Sophia and Darby; two great-grandchildren, Cade and Millie; a brother, Andrew “Bengie” Sento of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters and brothers in-law, Judy (Bob) McClintock of Ohio, Jeanette (Tom) Kraft of Florida, Sherrie (David) Fox of Uniontown, Curtis Marcase of Houston, Pa., and Ronald (Marion) Marcase of Houston, Pa., and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Damien of Molokai Church in Monongahela. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Bo’s memory.
