The arrival of August means an overflow of local activities and family fun before school starts again.

In that spirit of summer celebration, the annual August Fun Fest at Cedar Creek Park will take place Aug. 4 – and the event promises plenty of old-fashioned family entertainment.

While the Fun Fest offers free admission, an all-day activity pass is available for $4 per person. This pass allows unlimited access to amusement and carnival rides, horse-drawn trolley rides, a petting zoo, train rides, bounce houses, a Nerf obstacle course and a climbing wall.

Additional attractions include an arts and crafts marketplace that features more than 40 craftsmen and vendors, as well as bingo and a flea market.
