A Smithton woman accused of stealing $38,000 from a truck following bingo at an area fire department in February will stand trial in Washington County Court.
Darla R. Bryan, 38, waived her right to a preliminary hearing Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Larry Hopkins in Charleroi on charges theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy, theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
In February, William Srdich told R.E.S.A. police he was missing $38,000 from the glove compartment of his truck, which had a window smashed out and the glove compartment pried open.
Srdich said he was carrying that much money because of issues at home.
