Donora OKs agreement for $1M Tech Met grant

Donora has agreed to a cooperation agreement that will bring $1 million to an expanding borough company.
In October, the state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program announced that Tech Met, located in Donora’s industrial park, would receive $1 million toward a 28,000-square-foot expansion project.
The project is expected to have a total price tag of $4 million.
Tech Met, which already operates in an 88,000-square-foot facility in Donora, provides chemical, electrochemical, photochemical machining and surface preparation services to a variety of aerospace, defense, medical and industrial customers.
