Shirley Marino, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 30, 2019, in South Carolina. She was born on Oct. 25, 1936, in Jacobs Creek to the late Roy and Viva Blanch Johnston Sechrist. Along with her parents, Shirley is reunited in death with her beloved husband of 57 years, William David Marino Sr.; brothers, Jack, Lloyd and Harry Sechrist; as well as her granddaughter, Stacy Marino. Shirley prayed every day. In her free time, she loved to visit the beach. Above all else for Shirley was her family. She enjoyed cooking family dinners and spending as much time as she could with her loved ones. She will be truly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vicki Marino (Bob Trusty) of South Carolina; stepsons, William “David” Marino Jr., (Mickey) of North Carolina and Randall Marino of Monessen; adoring grandchildren, Cory MacDonald, Scott MacDonald and Rob Marino (Stacy); great-grandchildren, Shea, Sydney and Max; brother, Darrell Secrist of Jacobs Creek; sisters, Imogene Kirkpatrick of Perryopolis, Agnes Judy (Wayne) of West Newton, Marlene Hrach (Tom) of West Newton; niece, Suzanne (Joe) Surdyn and her family; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, with noon the time of a blessing service with Father Michael Crookston officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
