Planned power outage scheduled in Elizabeth, McKeesport areas

Nearly 2,500 residents in the Elizabeth and McKeesport ar- eas will be without power temporarily later this month.

On Wednesday, West Penn Power announced a planned power outage for areas in Elizabeth and McKeesport that will affect 2,422 customers from about 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 17.

In the event of inclement weather, the outage will be moved to July 18.

Customers in the area who will be affected will be notified by phone.
