A Duquesne man has been arrested in connection with an incident outside a McKeesport bar that left one man to suffer a gunshot wound, and resulted in stray bullets damaging several cars and the window of a local district court.
Courtney Washington, 25, of Grant Street, is charged with criminal attempt-criminal homicide, aggravated assault, persons not to possess use, manufacture, control a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and four counts of criminal mischief.
He was arraigned Sunday in Squirrel Hill before Magisterial District Judge James J. Hanley Jr.
McKeesport police were dispatched to the parking lot of The Roo Bar on Oneil Boulevard around 2 a.m. July 3 for reports of shots fired. Witnesses told them a victim, later identified as Curtis Farrar, was being treated at UPMC McKeesport for a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Police found the shooting left bullet holes in a Jeep Wrangler owned by Robert Fontana of Elizabeth, a Chevrolet Malibu owned by Brittany McMillam of McKeesport, a Cadillac owned by Isaiah Warren of Pittsburgh and the waiting room window of Magisterial District Judge Eugene F. Riazzi’s office at 687 Oneil Boulevard, court records indicate.
