John Jack Pollack Jr. – Fallowfield Township

John Jack Pollack Jr., of Fallowfield Township, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2019, at Presbyterian Hospital following complications resulting from a heart attack. Son of the late John and Phyllis Crowe Pollack and stepson of the late Shirley Mccready Pollack, he was born Nov. 26, 1946, in North Charleroi. He served in the United States Air Force as a defensive fire control systems mechanic during the Vietnam era. He was stationed in Thailand and Guam, where he was made an honorary member of the 4133rd bombardment wing at Anderson Air Force Base. He was a retired construction worker. Through the years, he worked for Duquesne Paving, Frank Irey Jr. Construction, M&K Construction and retired from Lincoln Construction. He was recording secretary for the UMWA Local 1998. He was Methodist by faith. He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Ginger Evancho) Pollack; daughters, Janis (Nick) Gribble of Aurora, Ohio, and Jillian (Matthew) Davis of Leicester, N.C.; three grandchildren, Zoe Corinne Gribble, Lila Viola Davis and Jackson Anthony Davis; sister, Esther (Michael) Murphy; stepbrothers, Randall Marino and William David (Mickey) Marino; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his very best friend, Bob Kondratowicz, someone we have regarded as a member of our family for many years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons oficiating.
