Swinging for Sam & Emily Golf Outing approaching
By the Mon Valley Independent
Five years ago, Todd and Danielle Osleger received life-changing news their son, Sam, had a rare genetic disease called A-T. A few months later, the same diagnosis was given to them about their daughter, Emily.
A-T is a neurodegenerative, multi-system disease that affects muscle movements, weakens the immune system and confines children to wheelchairs.
Currently without a cure, A-T patients suffer a bleak prognosis of developing cancer and having shortened lifespans, with most not surviving through their teens.
As a tribute to the pair’s fight and the perserverance of their parents, Todd and Danielle Osleger, the third annual fundraising Swinging for Sam and Emily Golf Outing will be held July 26 at Cedarbrook Golf Course in Rostraver Township.
