Shelley J. Peters, 49, of Washington Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of Thomas and Johanna Smith DeMarco, who survive and reside in Toledo, Ohio, she was born in Greensburg on July 17, 1969. A resident of Belle Vernon most of her adult life, Shelley had been employed as a medical secretary at South Hills Pain and Rehabilitation Center in Monessen. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Robbie T. Peters and Evan J. Peters both of Washington Township; a sister and brother in-law, Christine and Bill Ward of Elizabeth; and a brother and sister in-law, Tom and Leslie DeMarco of Sylvania, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert I. Peters Jr., on Jan. 19, 2013. Private services are being handled by the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Family and friends will gather for a celebration of life at the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Company 4:30 p.m.  Friday, July 5, 2019. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
