A McKeesport man is behind bars after allegedly locking his nude “intimate partner” out of his apartment and later trying to knock a Taser out a city police officer’s hand.

McKeesport police were dispatched to Mid Town Plaza apartments on Sinclair Street around 7 p.m. June 30 after receiving reports that a woman and her boyfriend, who was allegedly intoxicated, got into an argument. He allegedly choked her and then locked her out of his apartment while she was naked.

When officers arrived, the woman, who has not been identified, was wearing clothes that a resident in the building gave to her after finding her naked in the hallway outside the apartment banging on the door, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

The woman told police that she and James J. Johnson, 32, had been drinking and were arguing when he began choking her and saying that he was going to kill her.
