Man burned in Fallowfield Township grease fire

One man was injured in a grease fire Monday in his Fallowfield Township home.
Fallowfield Fire Company was called to the 100 block of Mary Ellen Street for a reported structure fire around 7 p.m. and saw smoke billowing from the residence when they arrived.
Chief Anthony Fleming said an unidentified man was alone and making dinner when grease splattered on the stove and ignited.
The blaze was quickly extinguished and contained to the kitchen, but areas around the stove, including the ceiling and surrounding walls were charred.
