Library directors and board members in Washington County are singing the praises of the Washington County Community Foundation’s Community CARE Fund.
Last week, the organization announced more than $170,000 in funding to be awarded to nearly a dozen community libraries, including several in the Mon Valley.
Created in 2017, the CCF awards capacity building grants to help strengthen the infrastructure, management and governance of charities to more effectively fulfill their missions.
Locally, libraries in Charleroi, Donora and Monongahela will use the funding to continue serving their communities.
