Frank Pavlisak Jr., 72, of Monongahela, died Saturday, June 29, 2019, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Priekopa, Czechoslovakia, the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Brandebura Pavlisak Sr. Frank was a Donora High School graduate, Class of 1964 and a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Donora. For over 20 years, he was employed in the construction capacity by the Laborers Combined Union. He was a member of the Three Rivers Chapter Ford Galaxie Club of America and the American Rusin Club in Donora until its closing. Frank loved dancing and listening to music, especially the oldies. He enjoyed going to car cruises locally and at Carlisle, where he showed his 1962 Ford Galaxie convertible. One of his favorite pastimes was getting together with his Donora buddies and catching up over a cup of coffee. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Manges Pavlisak, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage on Sept. 25, 2018; two daughters, Cynthia Durkacz and husband John of Monongahela and Cathy Frank and husband Jeffrey of Upper St. Clair; four grandchildren, Haley Madar and husband Adam, Morgan Durkacz, Jeremy and Noah Frank; and a great-granddaughter, Hayden Madar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Zerone. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. Panachida services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Wahal as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Donora. Parastas services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
