Black named to 2019 17U National Team Development Program

Serra Catholic’s Mark Black was one of 41 players listed on USA Baseball’s 2019 17U National Team Development Program roster, which was revealed Friday.
Players will take part in the program July 20-25 in Chicago.
According to USA Baseball, the roster is made up of 41 athletes who were identified and selected based on their participation and performance at USA Baseball sanctioned events, including the National Team Championships and the National Team Identification Series, among others.
Black, who will be a senior at Serra Catholic in the fall, was selected as an invitee into the program in September after USA scouts watched him play in the 2018 National Team Identification Series.
