Bach excelled as ace of strong Cougars team

Jarett Bach is the first to admit he and his fellow seniors felt a bit of nerves entering the 2019 season.
Not because they lacked any experience at the varsity level, but because the Yough veterans knew it was their last chance to play in the WPIAL Class 4A playoffs while donning a Cougars uniform.
“I think it made us seniors a little more nervous just because we realized this was our only shot at it,” said Bach, who was a freshman when Yough previously qualified for the playoffs in 2016. “We had to give it everything we had because there were no second chances.”
Bach and his two senior teammates – Dom Koch and Noah Manns – took advantage of their final season as high school players.
