McKeesport man charged in murder

One McKeesport man is dead and another is in Allegheny County Jail following a Friday night shooting in the city and a police chase that followed.

Allegheny County 911 received multiple calls around 11:17 p.m. Friday night stating that a man had been shot in the 1800 block of Sumac Street.

McKeesport police discovered a 34-year-old man, later identified as Kaine Williams, on the road with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, shoulder and back, according to Allegheny County Police Lt. Kenneth Ruckel.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 p.m., according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
