Doris Hackenson – Marietta, Ohio

Doris Hackenson, 97, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, in Marietta, Ohio. Doris was born in Fair Hope, Pa., daughter of Emanuel Britton and Ada Fox Britton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jack D, Hackenson; and daughter, Janet Hackenson Stewart; brother, Edward Britton; and sister, Rose Fisher. Doris graduated from High School in Belle Vernon. She resided in Marietta, Ohio, from 1956 to 1995, where she retired from Okmar Oil after 37 years. She returned to live in Charleroi, after retirement. She is survived by her son, Jack E. Hackenson and wife Maria; daughter, Linda Hackenson Venis and husband Richard; granddaughters, Sheri Hackenson Woods and Keilie Hackenson Greer; and grandsons, Troy Venis and Todd Venis. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and special nieces and nephews, Jim and Carol Britton and Marci and Terri Crampo. A graveside memorial service will be held in Belle Vernon at a later date. MCCLURE-SCHAFER-LANKFORD FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
