McKeesport’s largest city park was filled Saturday with wagging tails and people saying things like “fetch,” “go get it” and “go play.”

They were there for the grand opening of The Dog Park at Renziehausen Park.

The facility, located behind Lake Emilie and Sulphur Springs fields, includes two enclosed areas for dogs to play, based on their size, and a third enclosed area that will be open during maintenance of the other two.

Construction was funded by a $200,000 Community Infrastructure and Tourism Grant, which Brewster advocated for, and additional city contributions.
