Next season starts right away for EF softball

Heading into this season, one of the battle cries for the Elizabeth Forward softball team was “never again.”

The prior season’s crushing loss in the WPIAL championship game was more than enough motivation heading into this season.

The Warriors got their season started in Florida. While they returned from the trip 1-3, head coach Harry Rutherford liked what he saw.

On March 28, Elizabeth Forward faced highly touted Mt. Pleasant and lost 4-0.

After that, the Warriors rattled off 19 straight wins. They finished off an undefeated section championship with a win over Belle Vernon on May 2.
