After unanimously voting to remove longtime emergency management coordinator Michael Parzynski from his position last month, North Belle Vernon council appointed a replacement Tuesday – but not everyone agreed on who should have the job.
Parzynski was removed in May for allegedly not attending bi-monthly regional Emergency Management Agency meetings for more than a year.
Before former deputy EMC John Garber was selected to fill the vacancy, Parzynski addressed council to tell his side of the story.
He said he’s not upset he was removed from the position, but he objects to how council did it.
