Samuel Edward Corella, 77, a lifelong resident of Tower Hill 2, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2019, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Tower Hill on April 7, 1942, son of the late Frank and Mary Leeper Corella. Sam worked as a laborer for Union Local No. 286 out of Brownsville until he retired. He was an avid hunter who looked forward to traveling to Montana with his buddies. He loved being outdoors. Sam was also an antique car enthusiast and was proud to display his “1956 Black Chevy” at car shows around the area where he won many awards. He especially enjoyed driving his Chevy in the annual Merrittstown Fourth of July parade. He cherished his family, his many friends and he loved his German shepherd, Kacee, who was his best buddy. Sam is survived by his loving wife of  53 years, Juliet Gambacurta Corella; two daughters, Maria Corella of Tower Hill and Gina Cotton and her husband Robert of Eighty Four; brother, Jerry Corella and his wife Linda of Uniontown; and four nephews, Mark (Billie) Corella of Rostraver, David (Mindy) Corella of Rostraver, Tom (Megan) Corella of Rostraver, and Michael Corella of Republic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Corella. Sam’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at KISH-FABRY FUNERAL HOME INC., 19 Legion St., Republic, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
